The environment is an important priority for Gale International. Part of our value added philosophy has always been to create the best possible living and work environments within our buildings and projects to enhance well-being, comfort and productivity. In recent years this nearly century old commitment has grown and deepened. An understanding of our responsibility as a forward thinking global developer has evolved into our fully embracing and supporting the concept of Environmental Sustainability. This led to the Gale International Environmental Commitment for the Songdo IBD.

As a worthy first step in pursuit of this goal, GI was recently accepted in the LEED ND pilot program. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a globally recognized benchmark is an evolving standard of the Green Buildings Council. Songdo IBD will be the first LEED certified city in Korea.
